Bhagyashree Patwardhan, an Indian actress, and social worker were born on February 23, 1969. She is most recognized for her roles in Hindi language films and television, for which she won a Filmfare Award. Bhagyashree's breakout role as Suman in Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), for which she gained critical praise, has since become her defining work; she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her portrayal. She starred in only two films in the 1990s, Tyagi (1992) and Rana (1998), in order to focus on her marriage with Himalaya Dasani.
